He's right though: it says us_kiosk while it's just http://store.apple.com/us when you go there via the general apple site.

Not sure where that Apple Store Grand Central comes from..and why I even care :?
 
UK stores do this as well. I believe it just means sales made through that portal get credited to that particular store. It's useful for things like Apple Watch and the new MacBook because it means retail stores can claim a stake in overall sales. It also helps with future inventory management for those products.

Also means individual stores can get credit for BTO Mac sales.
