Apple Retail Store price matching

Now I've heard of Apple Retail Stores doing price matching with say, Best Buy or Microcenter.

But will Apple price their own store in another country? Currently I'm working abroad, but have found the price is 20-50% more expensive than the US... does anyone have thoughts on this? Or maybe you've tried it?

I haven't tried it, but I thnk if it was possible everyone abroad would try it. So I don't think they would price match between currencies, especially since a large percentage of the difference in price is due to taxes.
