Say you ordered a 14 Pro from both Apple and Xfinity, and the Apple one arrived today and the Xfinity one is not arriving until Monday. Would it be possible to set up the one from Apple (on an Xfinity account) and on Monday return the one from Xfinity to Apple? Both phones are the same model, including color and capacity.

The major issue I see with this would be the serial of your device being tied to your order. I would also believe your Xfinity model is locked to the carrier; even if not, the serial would still be the issue

I can see the serial number being an issue. But I could also see Apple rather having a new phone returned than one that's been used for three days. I don't think Xfinity locks their phones.

You'll need to return the apple one to apple, they scan your serial number and if they don't come up then they can't accept it.
