Apple today seeded the first beta of macOS Ventura 13.4 to developers for testing purposes, with the beta one day after the release of macOS Ventura 13.3.

Registered developers can download the beta through the Apple Developer Center and after the appropriate profile is installed, with the betas available through the Software Update mechanism in System Settings.

There is no word yet on what's included in macOS Ventura 13.4, but we'll update this article if anything new is discovered.

Just updated to 13.3 and photos constantly crashes while cropping. Anyone else have this issue and if they do is it still present on 13.4?

Considering how close we are to WWDC23, I'd assume this beta release is more of a placeholder for any future bug fixes or security updates needed. Beta channel would get to test any fixes prior to a point update.

Overview

The macOS 13.3 SDK provides support to develop apps for Mac computers running Ventura 13.4 beta 1. The SDK comes bundled with Xcode 14.3, available from the Mac App Store. For information on the compatibility requirements for Xcode 14.3, see Xcode 14.3 Release Notes.

Apple Studio Display

Known Issues

  • Apple Studio Display firmware update starts showing progress but never completes. (107287354)
Workaround: To install other updates including future macOS Beta Updates, click “More info…” in Software Update Settings, uncheck Apple Studio Display firmware update, and click “Install Now.”

Apple silicon Mac Pro support? 🤔

Dev betas and new machine support have no relation to each other.

Dev betas are for dev testing, those of whom don’t have any unreleased machines

They may allude to a machines existence, but they don’t add support

Machines in development run on whatever macos version is current for some time before release

They have in the past.

This is exactly what I mean when I say they may allude to a machines existence

It does not mean that that add support for said machines

In this case new icons were includes for a new form factor, not “support” for new machines

What is the point of posting so many identical stories? more ad impressions? Just combine them all into one.
Primary its for breaking out separate discussions related to each OS beta release. It helps no one here in the forums to discuss all OS betas (iOS/IPadOS/MacOS/tvOS,watchOS) various issues, bugs, feature changes in one common thread. Most of the people interacting are devs or Public beta testers. Some post questions for additional info.

MacRumors also breaks them out for maintaining higher visibility on news web sites, such as google news.
