Following the release of the tvOS 15 update yesterday, Apple has seeded the first beta of tvOS 15.1 to developers.

Developers can download the new tvOS 15 beta by downloading a profile onto the ‌Apple TV‌ using Xcode.

Other than new releases, tvOS updates are often minor in scale, focusing on under-the-hood bug fixes and improvements rather than major outward-facing changes. There's no word yet on what's included in tvOS 15.1 update, but we'll update this article should anything new be found.

can anyone confirm if they've fixed the library section of the appletv app? (for people with large libraries that weren't loading)

Overview

The tvOS 15 SDK provides support to develop tvOS apps for Apple TV devices running tvOS 15.1 beta. The SDK comes bundled with Xcode 13, available from the Mac App Store. For information on the compatibility requirements for Xcode 13, see Xcode 13 Release Notes.

I realize people keep bringing this up, but is there anything that triggers the missing library being not displayed other then over a certain quantity of titles in collection. Do you see the same as tvOS Apple TV + app, with any of the Apple TV + apps in iOS, IPadOS, MacOS release or betas? I only a few hundred in collection and it displays across all TV +OS apps. Is this just the Apple TV+ app and tvOS? Does its have anything to do with the saved video file type in library?

Please dear god let the dreaded "All home hubs are not responding" / "A home hub is responding" issue that's been present since tvOS 14.0 be fixed. Tried everything and can't get it to stay connected.

tvOS has become that step child that is shoved into the basement.
It’s funny, because people spend more time on Apple TV than all the other Apple products combined yet it gets the least attention. There’s SO much they could do with the interface, imagine it zooms out from whatever your watching to show a live version of all moving channels then you could hover over each to zoom in a little to het audio the zoom all the way in when you select it… stuff like that. It could be so awesome and it stead it’s so boring.

It breaks my heart. As a fellow poster mentioned above, I spend a lot of time on my AppleTV and I love it. I sincerely don't understand why this neglect towards ATV.

But, honestly, does anyone believe that guy that said that Apple employees are turned off by ATV development? I mean, would Apple employees really say something like that to a reporter? That's borderline unethical.

Apologies that this isn't part of tvOS, but I can't believe Apple is sticking with its new onscreen-menu design for the :apple:TV app, with captioning and audio options popping up adjacent to the timeline instead of dropping down from the top. It's impossible to navigate between using the menu and scrubbing—plus we really don't want a different GUI than every other app's. Give it up, Apple.

I found that turning on multicast routing in my ASUS GUI noticeably improved that problem. Not sure I can fully explain why, but it worked.

Yeah I absolutely hate the new player.. and it will now be more players as well cos some apps will update it right away while some will take years to integrate it.

Its already activated in some (external) apps not just the native TV App.
