Apple today seeded the first betas of upcoming iOS and iPadOS 13.4 updates to developers, one week after the release of iOS 13.3.1 with new toggle for turning off the U1 chip.

iOS and ?iPadOS? 13.4 can be downloaded from the Apple Developer center or over the air once the proper developer profile has been installed. On the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max, the beta must be installed using the configuration profile.

There's no word on what's included in the iOS 13.4 update, but as a major 13.x update, it could include minor design changes and feature tweaks along with bug fixes for issues not able to be addressed in iOS 13.3.1.

iOS 13.4 includes iCloud Folder Sharing, new Memoji stickers, an updated Mail toolbar, and more. For a rundown of everything that's new in iOS 13.4, make sure to check out our dedicated article listing the updated features.

Nice!

Looking forward to it and jailbreaking!

Think you should stay on 13.3 atm if that's where your interest is. I saw pwn20wnd commented on reddit yesterday about progress on 13.3 including for A13 devices.

If 13.4 adds something interesting enough, I'll consider testing. Otherwise I'll hang out on 13.3 and watch for when a jb drops.

From Developer's Website
iOS 13.4 beta is available for iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max using the Configuration Profile. Installation using the Restore Image isn’t currently available for these models.

I really hope this has the iCloud Drive stuff. If it’s actually going to ship in iOS13, it needs to be in .4.

You do know that there may be multiple issues, and each affects different users in different scenarios?
Yeah I get it. 4 months in though and its still partially broken for many.

Anyone can say what they will. iOS 13 , while feature rich, was a complete mess. From the bizarre staggered rollout, to still missing features across devices (messages in the cloud on the Apple watch STILL MISSING) to all the silly bugs all over the place.

Every other year this happens.....iOS 14 will no doubt be a stability release. What Im hoping is that KEEP IT THAT WAY and slowly add features like they do iteratively on the iPhone.

I wish this update contains some tweaks for airpods pro to control the anc levels.
Low chance but would be cool, even though it would require a FW update for app..
Just wishful thinking...
They give you an entire transparency mode... ANC control isn’t necessary IMHO

I got my phone done and my macbooks are updating. iPads and watch keep pausing or saying to resume. Almost like Apple slammed on the brakes to the update. Also, they moved around the mail actions (reply, delete, flag) on the bottom so my muscle memory is going to be a problem.

Tons.

one big issue is mail claims an email arrived but when you open mail you have to refresh the mail feed for it to be downloaded from the server.

I seem to get this even with gmail app lately

I never get that with the stock mail app but it happens all the time with the Gmail app.

If you get the same behavior in the standalone Gmail app, then it seems like maybe the Apple Mail app isn't at fault

EDIT: Also, I get that behavior in Gmail in Chrome on Windows...the new mail indicator pops up but there is no new mail unless I refresh Chrome.

I hate to say this but: Yes and No.

the recent FWs have impacted the ANC strength and I wish I would have some level of control on it even if it
Not a must, but would be cool.

mail bug - yes! I have to refresh also the mail to actually get it. It’s super annoying but only on phone. IPad is fine.

Am I in the minority and have no issues with Mail? What is broken for you all?
You’re probably in the majority of iOS users, but the minority of folks that visit MacRumors. Mail for me is primarily for my Apple mail account and for the way I use it, it’s good. Then again, it’s a mail app. Mail’s one of those things it’s hard to get excited about. BUT there’s obviously a market for different mail apps that do different things, so someone’s excited about it.

It looks like iCloud Folder sharing is back in, but Pinning for keeping downloaded isn't.

Stoked for iCloud Folder sharing to finally be up-and-running. That is core functionality for iCloud Drive to continue boosting Apple's Services revenue and taking/creating market share. This will be a huge convenience for me and my wife.
