Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming macOS Mojave 10.14.1 update to its public beta testing group, two days after seeding the first beta to developers and three days after releasing the macOS Mojave update.

macOS Mojave introduces a new method of installing software updates, so after the initial beta has been installed using the appropriate profile from Apple, additional betas can be downloaded through opening up System Preferences and choosing the "Software Update" option.

The 10.14.1 update re-introduces support for Group FaceTime, a feature that was removed during the beta testing period. Group FaceTime, which lets you chat with up to 32 people at once, is also present in the iOS 12.1 beta.

It's not clear what other improvements the first update to macOS Mojave will bring, but it likely includes performance improvements and bug fixes for issues that weren't addressed in the first release of macOS Mojave.

macOS Mojave is a major update that brings features like a systemwide Dark Mode, stacks for organizing messy desktops, new Finder capabilities, new tools for taking screenshots, a Continuity Camera option for easily transferring photo scans and documents from iPhone to Mac, and more. DOES THIS FIX THE RECENTLY RELEASED EXPLOIT THAT REQUIRES YOU GIVE SOMEONE DIRECT ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER, NEVERMIND THAT YOU HAVE MUCH BIGGER PROBLEMS IF THEY HAVE SUCH ACCESS!?

No need to shout, as if many people know how to use the exploit, the one which found the exploit didn't give a lot of information so nobody else might find the exploit.

I got this automatically yesterday, oddly enough.

Maybe you're on the Dev beta without knowing.

Can someone confirm the build number of Mojave Public Beta 1? I want to see if it's the same as the Developer Beta 1.

Yep, I'm afraid most here did not get the joke. I did, and for the rest LIGHTEN UP, PEOPLE!
(Caps intentional & also a joke)

New BridgeOS and WiFi adapter firmware for 2018 MBPs. Wonder if it helps with any of the issues people have been having.

Anyone else realize that Apple has brought back "Software Update" to System Prefs? It's not new to MacOS for that to be the case. I am glad it's back this way instead of having to open the App Store every time I want to update.
This is a Mojave thing, not just a 10.14.1 thing. It was like this during the beta as well.

So is it worth it to wait for the x.1 release or is Mojave stable enough now? The zero day security issue that was disclosed is of no consequence to me.

Hey guys, is anyone experiencing this behavior in Safari 12 in Mojave? Ever since I updated to Safari 12 before 10.14 and deleted my entire history and cache, the icons don't fill the entire space allotted.

Yet, when I visit ESPN and only ESPN out of these sites, the button fills up. Before they would all fully fill up as soon as I deleted the cache or history.

I don't know if Safari 12.1 will fix this for me or if I will have to reinstall the OS or restore a High Sierra backup with Safari 11.1.2. Every thing with the Touch Bar works normally. It's only these favorites icons. I'm guessing that the browser keeps fetching lower res versions or something more like favicons instead of higher quality images for the Touch Bar.
