Apple today provided developers with the fourth betas of upcoming iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, tvOS 26.1, watchOS 26.1, and visionOS 26.1 updates for testing purposes. The fourth betas come a week after Apple released the third betas.

The new betas can be downloaded from the Settings app on a compatible device by going to General > Software Update.

Apple Intelligence is now available in more languages in the updates, including Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese. AirPods Live Translation also works with Japanese, Korean, Italian, and Chinese (both Mandarin Traditional and Simplified) in iOS 26.1.

Liquid Glass has been expanded to the Phone app's keypad, Apple Music has a new swipe gesture for changing tracks, and there are visual changes to Calendar, Safari, and Photos. Details on what we've found in iOS 26.1 so far can be found in our iOS 26.1 feature list.

The iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, tvOS 26.1, watchOS 26.1, and visionOS 26.1, betas will be released later in October.

Please fix lagz when unlocking. I have some weird icons appearing behavior: looks like lag. 80% unlocks gives the lag. It worked fine on iOS 18…

Please also fix icons when editing wallpapers. You can barely see one icon which also confuses…

Me and many other users have issue with push notifications. To reproduce this you should do this steps:
  1. Lock iPhone and make it idle for 10+ minutes;
  2. Send any message from other device via third-party app that uses push notifications (WhatsApp, Telegram and etc.);
  3. After few attempts you can see, that messages don't deliver. They delivers immediately when I unlock iPhone or go to the app.
This bug reproduces on iOS 18.7.1 and 26.0.1 and also on 26.1 beta 3. As I think iPhone goes to deep sleep after 10+ minutes after it locked and don't get push notifications. I've tried everything: many of settings, DFU without backup, but nothing helps to resolve this issue. Pay attention, please, cause this bug is very annoying and present on iOS 18.7.1 (that is the last for many devices) and latest iOS 26.

I'm surprised I would have thought that 26.1 would have corresponded with the m5 hardware release but at this point it seems like not. I wonder if that means that we're getting more hardware this fall.

I know it's silly, but it will never cease to drive me crazy that Software Update is under "General" everywhere in the Apple ecosystem except for Apple TV, where it's under "System."
Please give feedback directly to Apple at https://www.apple.com/feedback or through a macOS beta release, on Feedback Assistant.app. That is completely ridiculous but since that is not a complete showstopper, they probably don’t even care.
