Following yesterday's public release of Safari 8.0.4 for OS X Yosemite, Safari 7.1.4 for OS X Mavericks, and Safari 6.2.4 for OS X Mountain Lion, Apple has seeded Safari 7.1.5 and Safari 6.2.5 to developers for testing purposes. Safari 7.1.5 is for Mavericks users, while Safari 6.2.5 is for Mountain Lion users.

The Yosemite equivalent, Safari 8.0.5, is already available to developers and public beta testers as it is built in to OS X 10.10.3.

In the beta notes, Apple asks developers to focus on general website compatibility, extension compatibility, debugging using the Web Inspector, typing in the Smart Search Field using multiple displays, viewing videos on sites like Netflix and YouTube, Address and Password AutoFill, and more.

I want to lick that icon.

Enjoy licking it while you still can... The way Apple goes with Yosemite, there ain't much licking once 10.12 (whatever ****** name they can think of) is out... :p:p

Now where is 5.3.5 beta for Snow Leopard and Lion...?

God damn you Apple...!

Does that mean we can expect Premium Video Extensions to be available for Mavericks as well?

Safari's best new feature is...

Safari's best new feature is a big button on the opening page which says:

Press here to download and install Firefox as your default browser

Safari performance has been pretty dreadful for me for the past year, and I've very recently made the complete switch to Chrome. I wish it was more battery efficient, and there are some UX papercuts that make it "not Apple like", but in terms of performance and extension availability it absolutely smokes Safari.

Could just be me but I could have sworn that 7.1.4 just got updated for me on Mavericks yesterday and now I can't download anything in Safari without it saying it's corrupted.

Tried grabbing some test download files and now things will download, but whenever I try to install and access said new programs, I get the message "Program is corrupt and must be moved to Trash"

So yeah... the sooner this is out, the better, unless I'm mixing this issue up for another?

Didn't seem like it...

It was just like a "haha, we're still waiting for safari version x.x on (insert ppc mac osx version here), but at least we have classila/tenfourfox!" so it was just expanding on your original sarcasm, in a way.

i dont know. its less humourous when it has to be explained :p
