Any thought given to combining all the ”Apple Seeds…” threads into one article?

Six distinct threads seems unnecessary when they (1) generate little discussion (2) are merely copy/paste of the previous thread with some minimal changes.

I suggest to have three separate articles:
  • macOS
  • iOS/iPadOS
  • tvOS, visionOS, watchOS, HomePod OS
iOS seeds have a decent level of engagement, and macOS is still a much different platform, so I would keep those two separate. The other four do not generate a level of discussion big enough to each have a separate discussion IMO (especially considering that new features will still get a separate article)

For public releases, I don't mind having a separate article for each and every platform, but for incremental beta updates, I think this structure is more efficient.

After the first betas I can aim for this setup, I think it makes sense. We've experimented with all-in-one posts, but the discussion can get confused, and also the main problem is that these updates don't always come out at the same time. We don't always get every beta, which is typically why I split up the posts. For context, these are prepared ahead of time so we can let you all know right when updates come out.

Comboing tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS while keeping macOS and iOS separate will likely make it easy enough to pull one out if we don't happen to get that update. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try to do this going forward.

@jclo - just a quick note to mention I really liked the new format that you used in today’s “seed” posts. Clean and easy to read.

I know the sun doesn’t rise on my opinion but wanted to give you positive feedback by saying thank you and that your effort is much appreciated.

I like this idea, though I'd suggest a couple small changes:
  • macOS
  • iOS/iPadOS/watchOS
    • watchOS is typically tied to an iOS release (can't update watchOS unless you updated iOS first). Whenever I see there's a new iOS release, I'm always curious if there's a new watchOS release as well; but that may just be me.
  • tvOS, HomePod OS
  • visionOS
    • The Vision Pro is a fairly niche product and I'm sure the users of those would appreciate a thread dedicated for the Vision Pro, and not be filled with comments about Apple TVs, HomePods, HomeKit, etc. I don't have one myself, but enjoy reading what people have to say about it.
I did read through the other thread linked here and understand there probably isn't something that will make everyone happy, nor will the combo-ing work for every release.
