Apple today seeded the second beta of an upcoming tvOS 15.1 update, one week after seeding the first beta and a week after the release of tvOS 15.

Developers can download the new tvOS 15 beta by downloading a profile onto the ‌Apple TV‌ using Xcode.

Other than new releases, tvOS updates are often minor in scale, focusing on under-the-hood bug fixes and improvements rather than major outward-facing changes. We don't yet know what's included in tvOS 15.1, but we'll update this article should anything be found.

Though we don't often know what's new in tvOS during the beta testing process, we let MacRumors readers know when new updates are available so those who are developers can download it upon release.

I'm hoping this second beta fixes issues with using HomePods as main speakers. I've had apps crashing due to audio issues. the HomePods have frequently stopped responding with a restart of TV and HomePods the only way to reconnect (both on the beta and yes feedback provided to apple) now updating the devices.....

Still not seeing the update on HomePod Mini with profile installed…anyone else having issues?

Ok so still getting audio glitches on HomePods mini, and Asphalt 8+ crashes as due to audio issues (doesn’t crash if TV speakers used or audio silenced in game settings when HomePods are primary speakers)

Is anyone else having an issue with AppleTV not being able to control Volume Down anymore? Even via AirPlay on my iPhone.

Volume down works fine from my TV and from the Audio Receiver itself.
