Apple today seeded the second beta of an upcoming watchOS 3.2 update to developers for testing purposes, one week after seeding the first watchOS 3.2 beta and two weeks after the release of watchOS 3.1.3, the current public version of the operating system.

The watchOS 3.2 beta can be downloaded through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General --> Software Update after installing the proper configuration profile on the iPhone. To install the update, the Apple Watch must have 50 percent battery, it must be placed on the charger, and it must be in range of the iPhone.

watchOS 3.2 requires an iPhone running iOS 10 to install and will only be available to developers. Apple does not make watchOS betas available to the public as there is no way to downgrade the software on an Apple Watch.

watchOS 3.2 includes a "Theater Mode" designed to let customers quickly mute the sound on the Apple Watch and disable Raise to Wake, preventing the screen from lighting up with arm movement.

Theater Mode, originally introduced in watchOS 3.1.3, is being made available in watchOS 3.2. Customers are still able to receive haptic feedback-based notifications, and information can be viewed by either tapping the screen or pressing down on the Digital Crown.

watchOS 3.2 also brings SiriKit to the Apple Watch, allowing customers to ask Siri to do things like send messages, send payments, book a ride, log a workout, make a call, or search through photos.

SiriKit has been available on iOS devices since the release of iOS 10, but is new to the Apple Watch.

I had a bug closed as a duplicate, where in the UK theatre mode is referred to as both cinema mode and theatre mode in the UI. Hopefully this is fixed.
[doublepost=1486410238][/doublepost]Excellent, so 2 of my requests have been fulfilled.... the terminology "Cinema Mode" is now used consistently throughout the UI, and my request to move the Cinema Mode icon down in Control Centre so that the water lock is back where it originally was. :)

Watch OS is only going to get better and better.

This is an undermined statement. And you're correct. It will and it has every step of the way. Even the first generation Apple Watch has increased in speed and battery management.

I do think Apple needs to be more cautious when releasing these OS updates, to ensure they are ready for the public release and not have the bricking issues they did with OS 3.1.2.

Don't like the name for the U.K. What's wrong with Theatre Mode like US? Cinemas often referred to as theatres anyway even here other than in the formal name. The mode is designed for dark environments when other people closeby might get annoyed by frequent inadvertent illumination by moving your wrist. Theatre Mode for more suitable IMHO.

Weren't the majority of bricking issues where people were just impatient and removed their device from the charger and rebooted?

Theatre is more synonymous with somewhere you go to watch a play, IMHO

There is always some who fail to follow simple directions.

That said, other forum members reported Series 2 was the primary device bricking to an issue with the GPS. From my readings, it appeared Series 2 was the main device being victim to the 3.1.2 bricking.

Guess I was one of the lucky ones. I had no issues with the betas of 3.1.2 or the release version on my S2

Agreed. But still a darkened environment where a constantly illuminating watch will annoy people. Theatre is a more "catch all" environment description than cinema which specifically suggests watching a film only whereas there are other instances Apple envisage use of the mode. In your case it sounds more like you've taken issue with the US word "Theater" and preferring the UK word "cinema".

So be it. I'm sure I'll live with it.

Well yeah, I do prefer the U.K. word.

the cinema/theatre mode has been changed now more down in control panel

Excuse me, but where is this setting on the current 3.1.3 as stated?

Why are they talking about adding SiriKit? I can already send messages on my watch as is. What's gonna be the big deal with that?

I updated to this version last night. But obviously the watch was bricked. Stayed the whole night on the charger after installation but cannot boot - just apple logo is still on it. (It is original , first model watch 42 mm)

I believe, and some one correct me if I am wrong, SiriKit is for third party apps to integrate Siri, e.g. Uber. With SiriKit you ask Siri to order a car for you.

Before SiriKit, only native apps had integration with Siri.

Water lock? Is that fancy series 1 and 2 stuff?
