Apple today seeded the third beta of an upcoming macOS Sonoma 14.5 update to developers, with the software coming a week after Apple released the second beta.

Registered developers can opt-in to the beta through the Software Update section of the System Settings app. Note that an Apple ID associated with an Apple Developer account is required to get the beta.

We don't yet know what might be included in macOS Sonoma 14.5, and no new features were found in the first two developer betas.

"We don't yet know what might be included in ‌macOS Sonoma‌ 14.5, and no new features were found in the first two developer betas."

As for me and mine we much prefer performance, security improvements and bug fixes to any new features. But Sonoma 14.4.1 is running very sweet on my M1 Studio Max anyway. And I’m very positive my experience is the same as that of the vast, vast majority of Mac users.

There's no such thing as audioOS, it's just tvOS and has been for like years now. Look at build numbers
The fork is tvOS which is why they usually have the same build numbers. But audioOS hasn't always been released at the same time as tvOS. So they are not the same. In fact the fork used to be iOS.

Here is more info about audioOS: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AudioOS

And if you still think they are the same here is an ultimate test.

Download https://updates.cdn-apple.com/2024W...C8/AudioAccessory5,1_17.4_21L227_Restore.ipsw and see if you can use it to restore an apple tv.

You won't!

It is causing big problems for 2019 and later Mac Pro owners with PCI card mounted SSD drives. They do mount leaving owners of these expensive machines with little to solve the problem. I am in that crowd of people and the issue started with this OS.
