Apple today seeded the third beta of an upcoming watchOS 10.2 update to developers for testing purposes, with the beta coming a week after Apple seeded the first watchOS 10.2 beta.

To install the ‌watchOS 10.2‌ update, developers will need to open the Apple Watch app, go to the Software Update section under "General" in Settings, and toggle on the ‌watchOS 10‌ Developer Beta. An Apple ID linked to a developer account is required.

Once beta updates have been activated, ‌watchOS 10‌ can be downloaded under the same Software Update section. To install software, an Apple Watch needs to have 50 percent battery life and it must be placed on an Apple Watch charger.

watchOS 10.2 adds support for iMessage Contact Key Verification, a feature designed for those who face "extraordinary digital threats," such as journalists, human rights activists, and government officials.

Users can ensure that there is no "man in the middle" snooping on iMessage conversations, and there is a Contact Verification Code so that iMessage users can verify that they're speaking to the correct individual during in-person meetings or on FaceTime calls.

Crazy how on the previous update to the current one, Heart Rate app on my SE showed only the current heart rate, no scrolling.. fixed now, BUT now in the Weather app, there's no scrolling either, only tapping the corner icon to see different data. Can't have one or the other it seems.. -_-

And ofc Sunset/Sunrise complication just doesn't work on my watch with Wifi off (which is what I have always had off, since I barely ever would require it). Worked perfecty in Watch OS 9 and now it's useless to me... Have to use the world clock app itself to see the sunset and sunrise time.. I like the "smart stack" letting me use more minimalist watch faces.. but otherwise this release has been a poor, sloppy mess..

I highly doubt it. At least with my experience so far using horrible WatchOS 10. Battery nightmare. Terrible update all around. And Apple doesn't seem to care, and will just push out updates with features that will be used by 8 people in the world.
FIX THE BATTERY ISSUES APPLE!
Can’t remember a release for the watch as bad as this one - no feature worth it and my battery is at least 30-40% down compared to WatchOS 9

The U2 dimness looks better to me but probably a placebo effect.

the battery on watchOS 10 is appalling. I don't know why this isn't making more news. There is bug for sure that needs squashing.

No issues whatsoever with battery life on my Ultra 1, with all watchOS 10 beta updates i've installed, including this one.

So some people are having battery life issues and some aren't?

I think just about every watch is at the very-least priority for Apple, except gen 10 watches.

New Issues:
My Watch 9 is now freezing up completely for minutes at a time. Also it is getting super slow at responding. I can double-click the crown and it'll take at least 5-10 seconds or more to even pull up the switcher. Even a single click on it or the button to show the control center, there's now a lag of about 5 or more seconds.

Today I have even had to manually reboot my watch, 3 times. Absolutely ridiculous!
