Apple today seeded the third beta of an upcoming watchOS 7 beta to developers, two weeks after releasing the second beta and a month after unveiling watchOS 7 at the Worldwide Developers Conference.

To install the watchOS 7 beta, developers will need to download the proper configuration profile from the Apple Developer Center. Once the profile is in place, the ‌watchOS 7‌ beta can be downloaded through the dedicated ‌Apple Watch‌ app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update.

To update to the new software, the ‌Apple Watch‌ needs to have 50 percent battery life, it must be placed on the charger, and it must be in range of the ‌iPhone‌. It would be wise to install the beta on a secondary device rather than a primary device as this is an early version of the watchOS software that could have bugs that still need to be addressed.

watchOS 7 brings a new watch face sharing feature that lets you share your watch faces with others through Messages or Mail, the App Store, through websites, or through social Media.

There are new Chronograph Pro watch faces, plus a filter option for the Photos face and rich complications for the X-Large face. Developers can now offer more than one complication per app, and Apple has introduced new complications for Shortcuts, Moon phases, the World Clock, and more.

‌watchOS 7‌ introduces a new Sleep Tracking feature for the first time that uses the ‌Apple Watch‌'s accelerometer to detect small movements associated with breathing when asleep. Sleep Tracking provides information on sleep duration and offers a Wind Down feature for helping users get ready for bed to increase sleep times.

Putting the Apple Watch in Sleep Mode turns on Do Not Disturb and automatically darkens the watch screen while you're sleeping, while an alarm feature uses haptic feedback or gentle sounds to wake you up with a greeting and a weather report.

In addition to Sleep Tracking, Apple also added a new handwashing tracking feature to help people wash their hands for at least 20 seconds. There's a 20-second countdown timer that comes up whenever the ‌Apple Watch‌ detects handwashing motions and sounds, and the Health app will also show the frequency and duration of the user's handwashing.

So far, so good! I'm loving this on my Series 5... checked all my watch faces and they look great! Complications seem to be updating correctly and everything buttery smooth. Apple is just doing a great job on this release, very excited for GM. Updating my Series 4 and 3 now too!

beta crashed a lot on my series 4 and kept restarting so I’m hoping beta 3 is more stable

Maybe turn off some of your third-party complications? I've had no crashes on my Series 4 with DB 2. (I did not install DB 1.)

I'll probably update to DB 3 this evening. Right now, I'm waiting for my paired iPhone SE (2020) to get through the long "Intentando recuperar datos"/"Attempting data recovery" process. It only seems to do this for SE (2020) models, but it always seems to do it for SE (2020) models. I'm not sure what the problem is.

I had the same thing with my SE when I first tried to install the first and second beta. I got tired of that and wiped the phone and reinstalled iOS 14 new and haven’t had the “attempting data recovery message” again.

As soon as my SE gets done, beta 3 for my series 3.

My SE is finished and is now on DB 3.

The odd thing is that this is a new phone. I installed iOS 14 DB 2 on a brand new SE straight out of the box, and it promptly went through "data recovery." Even though there was really no data to recover.

My SE is the 2020 as well, and bought as soon as it came out.

I just got the data recovery message for DB 3 install. Lol

Anyone missing the infograph modular watch face? Just installed beta 3 and it’s completely missing..

I'm not. 3 of my 4 existing Watch faces are Infograph Modular (set up to prioritize different functions based on what I'm doing). And the face is still in the list of available faces if I want to add a new one. (I have a Series 4.)

How’s battery life? That’s what usually keeps me from installing WatchOS betas. That and the inability to recover from a bricked watch.

I get a consistent reset if I turn either of the hand washing options on Beta 3. Anyone else?? I get it doing both on the watch and from the app on the phone.

i rebooted the watch and phone and the option came back.

not sure which restart fixed it but happy it’s back as it’s my main watch face.

Installed last night. Running great until now. Black screen and nothing else. It’s on as shows battery level on iPhone & tactics work when restarting. Apple logo shows on restart but that’s all.

3rd Force restart seemed to do the trick

I just turned it on for the first time using the phone, and the Watch did a Springboard (?) reset. The Apple logo popped up briefly, but then the Watch came back on in 5-10 seconds and was not locked. I tested the hand washing timer, and it mostly worked. It took about 10 seconds to pop up and show the countdown at 15 seconds. So it missed a bit of hand washing.

But they did have it localized into Spanish already, I got a ¡Ya casi! and then a ¡Bien Hecho! spelled out in bubbles.

I turned it back off. It's a gimmicky feature. It did not reset turning it off or back on again.

With Beta 3 my watch fills up disk space after ~12 hours after which I have to do a factory reset to fix for the next day. Any recommendations on rolling back (to Beta 2)?

As BasicGreatGuy said, there's no way to roll back WatchOS back yourself. You can have Apple send it off to roll it back to WatchOS 6.

I'm not seeing that bug, though. Maybe pare down your 3rd party apps to see if something is triggering it? Can you see what is taking up the space? Is it syncing music or photos or podcasts or something visible? I have 307 songs, 16 photos, 23 apps, 5 Audible books, and 28 iCatcher podcasts synced to my Series 4, and it shows 2.2 GB free of the 11.1 GB (net) capacity.
