Apple Seeds Third Betas of iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 to Developers

Apple today seeded the third betas of upcoming iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 updates to developers for testing purposes, with the software coming a week after Apple seeded the second betas.

Registered developers can download the betas from the Settings app on the iPhone or iPad by going to the General section and selecting Software Update.

iOS 26.2 has a Liquid Glass slider on the Lock Screen to adjust the transparency of the clock, plus it brings AirPods Live Translation to the European Union. The Reminders app now supports alarms for when tasks are due, and there are updates to the Podcasts and Apple News apps. Menu animations have been revamped, and CarPlay supports disabling pinned messages in the Messages app.

I wonder if any of these 26.2 releases fix the new and "improved" short battery life and sluggishness of 26.1 on every single device. I really miss 18 (or whatever it was called on various devices).

I hope they have fixed til iPhone 17pro CarPlay connection problem. otherwise I will soon have to switch back to 15pro, I regret so much I bought 17pro. never again apple, and have been there every year from 2007

It is definitely getting more polished. There were these excessive light effects when 26.0 came out especially around the text fields that have been toned down and animations look a lot better. They do need to fix or maybe even rebuild the menu icon system. Often the icons reload in the App Library and Home Screen when using a transparent icon effect.

It really is. Ive been in contact with them for months now, and all they say is "we know it is an ongoing issue". okay then, fix it. there is absolutely no work around and no fix for months now.

Is it true? They are bringing back split view with this new beta? Oh I hope it’s true! I have no need for anything but two windows at a time. That’s all I can handle but two is much more convenient than one.
