When I upgraded to the iPhone 14 Pro, I was a bit disappointed how lame the main wallpaper for iOS 16 was when switching to always-on. It was like a hard to see dark blue.

I was genuinely surprised when I deleted it and added it again later that the always-on mode was different. It actually retains the colours and is quite visible.

So just a PSA, I think you need to add the wallpaper again if you upgraded to a new device, you need to add the wallpapers again. Because they don’t auto update when you transfer.

iOS 16 took away all the old wallpapers. Sucks.

And the wallpaper that you had assigned on iOS 15 is carried over… but you can’t add any widgets to it.

👎 very stupid, Apple.
