Hi All,

I recently purchased a new 16inch m1 pro mac, the device arrived today which is on Feb 7th 2022.

I went into battery information and i could see the battery cycle count as 2 ? is this one normal for a new laptop fresh out of the box ?

Then i tried to figure out when was the last reboot/shutdown where made on this mac and i am getting a reboot and shutdown that are performed on this new mac from Nov 22.

Even under the warranty page its showing feb 3rd instead of feb 7th

I have attached all the screenshot of my mac.

Is this common else is it something only for me ?

Thanks

You’re seeing the quality checks done at the factory.

Did it ship on Feb 3rd, by any chance? That is probably when they activated the warranty.
yes i got the notification of the product being shipped on feb 4th. Thanks for the information

It would be worrisome if you did NOT see it.
Used equipment goes through Apple's Refurb program. It ends up being like new, cosmetically perfect, and with new batteries.

yeah i agree with the current chip shortage i was under the impression that apple is trying to refurb the device and start selling it.
