Apple Shake and the new MacPro

I'm planing to buy the 6-core model mainly for maya and shake and now I came across this thread:

is anybody here running Shake 4.1 on a macPro 2010 6-core or 12-core?

Shake is a waste and totally outdated. Start learning Nuke:

I cant speak for shake but Maya works amazing on them My oceans render so fast!

I still love working with shake, but if you pay it, I'm gonna try NUKE.
till then I'm still interested in comments regarding SHAKE and the 2010 MacPros.

I can't force you to use Nuke, but as an industry professional, there is no comparison. Nuke blows Shake out of the water. Shake is completely dead with no future development.

Nuke has a 1 year free trial last time I looked.
