Apple has invited some developers to watch the WWDC keynote event at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, but for those who are unable to attend, Apple has highlighted a range of "Beyond WWDC" events that are happening next week. These events are designed for developers who want to meet up for learning, networking, and more.

There are WWDC-themed events taking place worldwide, including online. A number of watch parties are happening, for example, in places like Copenhagen, Helsinki, Tokyo, and Istanbul, along with a number of WWDC meetups.

Developers who are interested can find a list of activities to partake in through Apple's developer website.

To get developers and customers in the mood for a fresh wave of announcements, Apple has also shared a WWDC23 Power Up Playlist that's available on Apple Music. The playlist features songs from Dua Lipa, Romy, Diplo, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Calvin Harris, Coi Leray, and more.

WWDC is set to take place next week, starting with a keynote event that will be held on Monday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

Me: asks Google how to recreate Emperor Palpatine’s throne room

Step 1: Buy Apple Everything.
Step 2: Acquire a Death Star (probably on Amazon or Alibaba... maybe BOGO... which hint-hint could come in handy).
Step 3: Get a fallen Jedi into black armor to do the heavy lifting.
Step 4: Make a bunch of clones build the room.
Step 5: Learn that Palpatine laugh and use it often.
Step 6: Conquer the Galaxy.
Step 7: Secretly create some clones of your own so that when you are killed, you are not really killed.
Step 8: Lay low while "dead" but use your Apple stock gains to fund building a seemingly endless amount of ships without the rest of the galaxy knowing, so you can re-conquer the galaxy.
Step 9: When Mary Sue shows up, don't be distracted. Let the infinite number of Empire ships deal with the few rebel ships. Maybe have a LOT of banana peels on the floor where Mary Sue will be? Possibly have some ACME gadgets on hand to use against her too?

Speaking of Apple Music, I wonder if Foo Fighters are going to play a role at the event this Monday. I follow the "Breaking Hard Rock" playlist, and they put the entire album on there. That seemed weird.

I just checked out the playlist. Apple must think developers have an affinity for heavily autotuned, mainstream music. 🤣

Really, it seems like a missed opportunity to showcase a wide range of up-and-coming musicians across many genres.

@jclo, the headline of your story says "playlists," plural. But the story has a link to just one playlist. Are there others? (My search of Apple Music also turned up just one for 2023.)
