To celebrate the launch of its online store in Saudi Arabia this week, Apple rolled out a new page that lets you customize your own wallpaper.

Apple-Wallpaper-Saudi-Arabia.jpg

All of the wallpapers have an Apple logo with a design that resembles calligraphy. There are five preset color combinations to choose from, or you can mix and match your own background and logo colors, and then download the wallpaper to your device.

The wallpapers are available across the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, so simply visit the page from the device that you want the wallpaper for to get the correct size.

Thanks, Filip Chudzinski!

Still surprised there’s been no Apple Store (in person or online) in Saudi till now. Any reason why?

Apple is really weird sometimes. They offer stuff like this seemingly unaware that there are probably 1 billion apple logo wallpapers that look way better than these.

It’s kind of like the watch faces they release where it’s literallly just a different wallpaper on an already existing watch face and they call it a “new watch face.”

I don’t know, just weird sometimes how they do things. Almost like they are waaaaay in the past on some things and haven’t caught up.

It is marketing, meant to give some attention to an event.

I just had a thought that it would be cool if they did an AI thing that transforms the word of your choice (like name) into that apple-shaped calligraphy.

Have not tried it out. Looks like it is just marketing as it is a part of the regional website only. Anyway will give it a try.
