Apple today shared the trailer for the second season of animated comedy "Central Park," which is set to launch on Apple TV+ on Friday, June 25.

"Central Park" follows a family who serve as caretakers for Central Park in New York City and who must fend off a wealthy hotel heiress who wants to turn the park into condos.

In the second season, the family continues to navigate living in and caring for the park.
In season two of "Central Park," the Tillerman family continues to navigate living in and caring for the world's most famous park. Molly experiences the trials and tribulations of adolescence, Cole is challenged by a truly embarrassing moment at school, Paige continues to chase down the mayor's corruption story, and Owen juggles managing the park, his staff and his family all with a smile on his face. Meanwhile, Bitsy inches ever closer to her sinister goal of claiming Central Park as her own; with Helen by her side, eternally wondering whether she's made it into Bitsy's will. Every step of the way, we are guided along by our friendly, fumbling, fiddler narrator, Birdie.
"Central Park" characters are voiced by Josh Gad, Leslie Odom Jr., Daveed Diggs, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Kathryn Hahn, Tituss Burgess, and Stanley Tucci. It was created and written by Loren Bouchard, known for "Bob's Burgers."

The first season of "Central Park" was recognized with an Emmy Award nomination for Leslie Odom Jr., and was also nominated for the 2021 NAACP Image Awards in the Outstanding Animated Series category.

Honestly, I had big expectations about it as I like Bob's Burgers really much but I couldn't stand more than the first episode because it's a musical.

Same tbh. I only watched the first episode and had high hopes as a Bob’s Burger fan.

Yeah, I was sooooooooo disappointed by this one. I absolutely love Bob’s Burgers, and I like the songs in that, but they’re a different style of music in this one, and I just find them annoying.

If you like musicals, and many loved those parts in Bob's, you will love this. It's good stuff. If you don't like musicals. You will flip the channel faster than a meme's rise and fall. I don't like musicals.
Musical is a very large genre. I like Les Miserables, I like a lot of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s works, some cinema musicals, but I do not like this. Perhaps it’s more “American musical”, but I suspect there’s so much variety even within that sub-genre that saying “I like American musicals” is still pretty meaningless.

Broadway musical maybe? Does that refer to a specific musical style, or just anything that appears on Broadway?

wow. unbelievably bad. no wonder i tossed my tv decades ago.

this is supposed to be funny? it makes me irritated and angry

This was a miss for me even before the casting swap nonsense between season one and two.
If you’re a fan of bobs burgers though I highly recommend The Great North on Hulu. Two of BB’s producers and top writers are behind it, and it has the same mix of bizarre but sweet and good natured characters that shouldn’t work so well together but somehow do.
First episode is a little uneven but from the second on it’s fantastic.

Cool, a show defending NIMBY! Why is property in New York so expensive? See NIMBY - you can't build any new properties, and if you try, you'll have a whole show made about how you're a villain!

(To be honest, I like Central Park, the actual park, in the city though... I think the real answer is to just not live in Manhattan... NIMBY may be at fault elsewhere, but Manhattan is crowded in every sense of the word... there's just too many people, and more stuff should be built elsewhere...)

The show is cute and charming and has some nice songs and characters, but definitely did not hit it out of the… ahem, park in season 1. Bob’s Burgers took some time to get its groove too, so we’ll see, but one central conceit I don’t think I’ll ever get over is having an irritating narrator the whole way through. I really cannot stand Birdie.

So are you saying developers should be able to tear down Central Park and build more buildings there?

this is all I needed to know.

big fan of bob's burgers and home movies but the musical numbers are my least favorite parts of both

I liked season one, but I’m concerned about actors and actress quitting. Kristen Bell quit because of the one drop rule, even though the character she played was equal parts black and white. Big mouth was ruined for me for the same reason.
What's the "one drop rule"?

I like Central Park. But didn't most of the dead bodies in Law and Order and CSI: New York come from there? Seems like it. It's almost as if people think Central Park has mausoleums in it or something.

Really great show. I enjoyed the musical numbers and found the show charming and at times hilarious.

It's definitely not my favorite show on TV+, but it pleasantly surprised me.
