I had ordered two of the short Beats USB-C to USB-C cables from the online store. The package was shipped via FedEx. The package arrived a day early and it was open. Only one of the cables was in the package. Apple has started an investigation and will replace the missing cable. That seems like a lot of resources to investigate for a $20 item.
My take is that someone at FedEx opened the package hoping for something of more value. When the cretin saw what it was they just tossed the package back into the conveyor system.
I want the short cables to use to recharge my trackpad. Less cable clutter when traveling. I am getting the short USB-C to Lightning to recharge my AirPods for the same reason.
