This new Prima immersive app that does 16k 90hz is super impressive visually. The people look real. it just needs content.
I suspect they don't have the funding to hire top-level talent at this point. However, I don't think it's fair to say this wasn't "actual content." The performance wasn't something I typically am attracted to, but the quality and sense of realism were so good I watched several times. I asked the company when more videos would be released. IIRC, they said next month, with more to come after that.now they just need some actual content... kinda odd to relate an app just to showcase a single video of a random folk group
It is definitely an improvement over Apple Immersive, which is fantastic also. Download the trailer for free via the app.hmm- given that even the new blackmagic ursa immersive is just 8k per eye, and the ursa cine with a single 16k sensor is pretty much the highest pixel camera out there afaik, I think it wouldn’t be easy to record in stereo 16k. I haven’t watched it yet but you guys are saying that the quality is visibly better than the apple immersive content? Is that even possible on 4K per eye displays?
I don’t wanna know how hard to edit 16k stereo footage would be, not to talk about the storage amounts during a shoot![]()
