It's pretty obvious Apple over extended themselves trying to get Maps out the door for iOS 6. We all know how that has turned out for them and I hope they get it together soon.
Some features COULD have been cool, but still lack proper implementation (Passbook for example).
Apple merely played catchup with this OS version, and barely did at that. Jellybean by Google offers way more features than iOS 6 and I was for sure Apple was waiting for the iPhone event to throw down their trump cards. Instead, they just rehashed what they told us in earlier in the year.
iOS 6 should have been the version they went thermonuclear. Hopefully they won't continue to play it safe next year and have new apps that work out of the box.
Oh, and one more thing: Apple, it's not about apps anymore.
