Apple Silicon 16" MBP Magsafe Question

One of the coolest things about the MBPs going to USB-C is the one cable charge/ data to the computer. Can the new MBPs still do this? For example if I bought a TB3 dock with charging, would it still work he same way via TB3 or do I have to use the magsafe port for charging and then a separate USBC for data?

I have the Caldigit TB3 Plus dock (87w) and one cable charge/data works fine. The 140w brick and MagSafe cord is in my travel bag.

There is no change to the MBP's ability to charge using the USB-C ports. The MagSafe just adds another port that is optimized for charging. You can chose to use any of those ports for charging.

you can use either the magsafe 3 cable or a thunderbolt 3 cable to charge your laptop. All of the USB-C ports on the laptops support charging.
