I recently picked up a silicone case had it afew days and it seems to picked up markings as seen in the photo below is this normal for silicone cases from Apple?

I use magsafe to charge my iPhone and now noticed i'm seeing a ring round the apple logo as well from what i can tell silicone cases shouldnt get the magsafe rings round them (partly why i went for these over the leather cases)

Anyone able to offer insight if this is just normal wear and tear or should i see about getting a replacement

Thanks

Looks like grease, they are bad for showing that and lint. Mine went back.

I have a Xs and my first case was the Apple silcone one. Very comfortable and super grippy. The downside is that I'm kinda greasy and the silicone case picks up oil like no one's business. Plus, it wears out pretty quick. Didn't last a year.

I replaced it with a genuine Apple leather case (got a great deal on it from Amazon). It took a while to "break in", but WOW, it's super durable. My greasiness actually helps condition the leather, haha. It's very slippery for about the first month or so, but now it's perfect. Doesn't really wear out, just gets better over time. It almost self-heals from nicks and scratches. I've had it for over two years now and it's in great shape still. While it is expensive (when not on sale), it's lasted way longer than any other case that I've gotten, Apple or 3rd party.

I would have gone with the leather case but as I use Magsafe for charging I didn't want the ring but it seems to affect the silicone cases also
