Apple site listing iPhone as "T-Mobile Unlocked"

I know T-Mobile's official policy is that after you purchase a phone from them, if you use it for 40 days, you can then pay it off and request the phone be unlocked. As far as I can tell, though, the full price iPhone on Apple's site, even though it specifies T-Mobile, is fully unlocked. I searched for fine print, and I didn't find any... I ordered mine, but it will take 7 - 10 days to arrive so I'm sure someone else will get to the bottom of this before I will!

Bottom of what??

It is factory unlocked ... 100%

I bought a sim free / full price / no contract ATT iphone 5 last year and it was factory unlocked ... put Tmobile sim in (after trimming sim card as they didnt have the micro / nano sims ... and they were not an official carrier yet) and it worked

Yes but last year it said "Factory Unlocked" -- is that the same thing as Contract-Free with T-Mobile?

One would hope so but customer service reps seem to be going back and forth on whether T-Mobile contract free will work with AT&T.
