apple smart battery case

hi

when apple released its smart battery case, the operating system at that time 9? 10?) would automatically show the available charge of both the case and the phone itself.

was this functionality removed in iOS 11?

it was a nice feature since it only appeared when the phone was attached to the case and did not show when the case wasnt attached.

i know there is a separate widget now that can remain there all of the time.

Swop to the left and add the battery widget. It shows the case, watch and phone for me
