I got a used 5th Gen iPad Pro 12.9 and bought a brand new Apple Smart Folio for it. I can't for the life of me figure out how to pull the inner box tray out without destroying the other box. I found only one video that showed the presenter pulling it out easily (not sure if he had already opened it before he filmed it). Smart Folio's for newer iPads appear to have a tab on the back that has to be undone before sliding the inner tray out.

I don't want to destroy the box, though I almost nearly did so with my frustration. Almost all smaller Apple accesories requires you to destroy the packaging to remove the accessory, but somehow I don't think this was the intent for the 5th Gen iPad Pro.
