I have an Apple Cube with original speakers. Since I have installed Panther, I occasionally have problems with my sound.
I've had that the balance was altered, only sound coming from my left speaker, or the other way around. And the balance swith in System Preferences had just disappeared!
Quite often I have that I can't change the volume (which is either very low or too loud). The volume-buttons on the keyboard don't work, nor do the options on screen.
In one case, the speakers were not supported all together! If I reboot, without any changes to hardware or software, the thing works again!
