If I purchase a macbook pro, would it be better to buy the SSD drive that apple gives you as an option, or choose the cheapest one and put in an Intel X25-M SSD drive. Which one is faster? Thanks in advance.

The Intel is the fastest SSD drive at this level you can get on the market today.

You're really overpaying if you go for the SSD option from Apple.

So either the Intel if 80GB will work, or you could go for an OZC Vertex/G.Skill Falcon which are slower than the intel but still have very good speeds and larger capacities(120/128GB) for around the same price.
