Apple Stereo Headphones (2g)

Hi all,

So, I recently bought another pair of the apple stereo headphones for my 2g iphone because the one that came with my iphone finally gave in and broke. The other day, I put the headphones in my pocket, and when I took 'em out, they were all brown and black. I don't know what was in my pocket, but looked like dust and something, but now my headphones are all brown/black and i got a lot of it off by using disinfecting wipes, but the white is gone.

I was wondering, is there a way to get the white back by using some sort of cleaner or something? Anyone else experience this?
