Hi!

I've got a tricky question.

My girlfriend got this car from her grandfather:

It's an Audi 100 C3 2.0E manual transmission exactly like the one pictured. It's in perfect shape, except for a few dents here and there and not even 100000 miles on the odometer. Gas mileage is reasonable (I'm getting 7,5~8L/100KM (30mpg) when city driving (although I try not to use it too much to go into town, only when the Astra is not available) and can still cruise perfectly at 80-92 mph once the engine's warm.

Of course, I want to put an Apple sticker on it. The problem is the car is from 1990 (the last year of this generation, before they reshaped them more "rounded").

So the question is: do I put on it the usual cool white apple sticker like everyone else:

or do I go for the retro rainbow apple which was the one used at the time when this car was built?

Actually, I've got my classic Apple stickers from an Apple dealer, so they're original enough :)
Yes, it's titanium gray like the one on the picture. That's the problem: the dark colour calls for a white Apple, but if I want to go the purist way (and as a wink to the past) I'm rather leaning toward the classic one.

Why is it "of course" that you want to put an Apple sticker on it?

I think the majority of people would want to avoid unneccessarily defacing their vehicles with corporate logos - in fact, I know plenty of people go to great effort to remove the manufacturer's logos from their cars!

Dude, you're on a Mac Forum full of fanboys... you risk getting tarred and feathered! :p

And it's the only sticker I'd allow to be put on my car. There's nothing else except for the Audi circles and the required registration stickers. One Apple sticker is cool. More is ugly. That said, I'd put it on the rear glass, I'd never put a sticker on paint.

Agreed. I see no reason to plaster a car with any more corporate logos than already come on it.
