Apple stock Black top/lower case

Hello,
I have a blackbook and there is cracking at the palm rest. And found out that they replace this out of apple care warranty. So do the stock black top and lower casing for blackbooks? thanks for the info.

or maybe I was asking to see if anyone in the last few months has went into a apple store and had this done with in a few hours. Or if they were told to come back in X amount of days.

Usually it's a send out. With that particular repair, they won't charge you as it's a known issue.

(And word to the wise, don't be so snarky, especially when the previous poster had a point.)

Do it sooner rather than later. Once those 1st gen MacBooks hit the 5 year mark the top cases won't be swapped for free any more.
