apple stock ssd

I must purchase a MB from my corporate sales, and they will only allow additions that are from apple. Can someone tell me about how good the current STOCK apple SSD is? I just bought the 3.06 MBP 15" and I had it outfitted with the 256 apple ssd. I did not have the option of getting outside vendor ssd drives.
So, obviously it isn't as fast as a intel, but i assume it is still pretty darn good?

I have the 128 SSD, and it is VERY fast. I heard the Intel are better, but I've never had a faster computer. The SSD makes a HUGE difference.
