Apple Store and ATT Next?

Tried to process an order for an iPhone 6 Plus for a in store pickup using AT&T next and the little box is grayed out. Below the box it said you can't do an I store pickup using ATT Next.

Thought I read somewhere that people were somehow able to do this... Any advice?

You can order it from Apple.com with Next, but it has to be shipped. Not sure why, but in store pick-up doesn't support Next.

What if I walked in without placing an order? Could they process an order using Next or can they not do it at all at the Apple Store?

In store is fine as long as they have the device still in stock.

As mentioned, there is no option for pick-up if you do the AT&T Next.

However, some have reported that you can select a 2 year contract purchase the device, set up a personal pick up. When you go pick it up at the apple store, ask the rep to cancel the 2 year contract and that you will purchase that phone with AT&T Next.

Or just walk to the apple store and in hopes they still have it in stock make a reservation pass (if they still do, that is).

I went through the same fiasco on pre order day. I preordered from Apple's website at 3:00AM and got a reservation number because AT&T's servers were getting hammered. I got my reservation email later that afternoon, went to complete my order and it stated I couldn't use AT&T Next to purchase in NY. By that time the preorder dates were crazy so I went to BestBuy and picked up a 6 for my wife and I with absolutely no line.
I did stop by the Apple Store on my way home to pick up a case and I talked to the Business Specialist and they did allow in store purchasing with AT&T Next, but he didn't say anything about ordering and shipping to the store.
