Apple Store App fails at payents

Not sure exactly when, but I think it is since Apple Pay came to UK I can't use Easy Pay in the Apple Store app anymore. Using Apple Pay fails, so does using my card with security code. It fails every single time. Has anyone else had that problem? It is really frustrating as it makes Easy Pay quite the opposite, first you waste time trying to make payments, then you get angry and tell the poor people in the Apple Store what you think of the App, and then they have to use their awkward iPod-strapped-to-a-scanner solutions.
