Apple Store app, "pick up purchases" with express checkout?

When using the Apple Store iPhone app to make purchases, there's an option to "pick up purchases" whenever express checkout is used. Will this work for the iPhone 5s, meaning I can do this and pick up my iPhone that day?

Anyone who actually knows for sure if that will be available isn't telling anyone outside of Apple.
