Hello,

I was wondering something with the Apple Store App (preparing for iPhone 8 preorder). I have Verizon and use verizon DPP. I just did a test run on my iPad and it says I am eligible for financing through Verizon but I have a balance of $200 something, which I can pay at the Apple store to get the financing. Could I preorder through the Apple Store app and after go to the Apple store to pay off the remaining balance and get DPP on the iPhone 8 (or whatever it will be called)?

I believe you will have to make at least one year of payments before you are allowed to upgrade. Which you can either pay the full amount owed or the minimal amount of payments through Verizon to upgrade. But I would double check with Verizon to be sure.

Thanks. Before I would pay the balance with who I was upgrading with, but I see an option to pay it online now. Been a while, goodluck and thank you.

I would think you will need to pay it directly to Verizon and not at the apple store. Plus, being that on Verizon DPP, is the $200 the remaining balance left for the device? If so pay now and keep the device and then get a new phone on DPP again.

Sadly no, I gave the Galaxy S8 a try and I am not impressed. The screen cracked after the first week I had it. I've had it in a durable case since I got it and I recently took it out and the entire back is also shattered. I am going to get an insurance replacement after I preorder my iPhone and get a date for delivery.

So I went through today and paid my upgrade fee to 50%. I did another test run and, although my balance is paid off, because I have a current contract I am required to go to an Apple store. If I preorder the next gen iPhone online, for full price, for in-store pickup, will I be able to utilize my device payment in store?
