What's your experience been with pre-ordering through the Apple Store app?

I have my info loaded and the device I want added as favorite.

Yea, how exactly will it go, if you're paying with AT&T Next instead of paying full? Will it still be smooth?

This'll be my first time paying that way as someone who always did the 2 yr contract prices.

I can't speak to that but I know it will be smoother than on Apple.com. You just might not be allowed to use ApplePay and will have to enter some details yourself. But App>Website always.

Right I plan on paying full price upfront. Thank you for the info!

I'm really tempted to do the Apple Upgrade program, now that it can be done online.. Should I do it in the app? or the website?
Will be ordering two iPhones on separate accounts, one paid in full, the other starting the upgrade program.
The paid in full i'll obviously be doing that on the website.

Hey, I didn't see an option for NEXT type plans on the App Store app.

I am doing the upgrade program too. Since you can't use ApplePay for upgrade program I will just use whichever device loads first, MacBook or iPhone.

You say you will "obviously" do the paid in full one on the website. Why? It would be faster to use the app and ApplePay if you are paying in full.

because the full price one, is for someone else's account.. would be easier and faster to have them both going at the same time to order. it's what I did last time. (unless I steal the other persons iPhone tomorrow night..)

The only time I've had any issues with the Apple Store app was for the iPhone 6+ preorder. Otherwise it's worked great, and I don't anticipate it getting overloaded with demand this time around considering some of the pushback over the loss of the headphone jack.

I understand. Hopefully Apple website will be up and running smoothly tomorrow night. Im more worried CitizensBank will poop the bed and crash when applying for upgrade program.

iPhone 6 pre order sucked!!! Took 2 hours for the website to open. And I HAD to use the website because I needed to buy the TMO iPhone full price and that year the only option to do that was on web, not app.

Is there any option of activating new service through the app? (with any carrier)
