Apple Store Down Ahead of Likely iMac Refresh

Ha, thought it was a joke, but you are right. Went down at 9:32 AM GMT, according to @applestoredown on Twitter.
 
Excellent, I'm curious to see what their 21.5" offerings will be (praying for quad core) and if SSD BTO prices will go down.

Apple's online stores went down early this morning ahead of rumors that the iMac will be refreshed with Thunderbolt and Sandy Bridge processors. New products are typically launched around 8:30am Eastern / 5:30am Pacific.

Everybody is going to be so pissed if the store is down because of new iPad Smart Cover colours or something like that. 😀
 
Store's down in Austia, too.

The effect this product release has on me is really concerning. I used to consider myself immune to commercial strategys.
 
Looking forward to this update, I was planning to get a new one at the end of the summer so it will likely be this model.
 
This will be my parents' first Mac.

Time to put that ailing 2005 HP Pavillion in the dumpster!
