Just a general question to anyone in the know...

Does anyone have an idea of how well Apple pays for an Assistant Manager position? Or, if you are knowledgeable, for any of their positions at the Apple Store?

Any feedback would be great. Thanks in advance.

And just to be clear, if you are an employee, I'm not asking you to tell me how much you make...just a figure if you know. Thanks again.

If they are an Apple employee they wouldn't be allowed to post here regardless.

Thanks everyone!

I sent in my résumé for assitant manager at the Michigan Avenue location here in Chicago! Wish me luck!

Used to stock for apple store, I made $11/hr. Quit to work at a high school doing tech support. Best thing that ever happened to me.

All I can say is that the workers there were great, made some good friends there in my 8 months. It is hard not to make some friends since they have such a high employee turnover.

The only bad thing there was the managers, know nothing, do nothings.

"You might want to up your ram so you can save more music, maybe a tigabit?" I just kept thinking to myself, go back to white barn candle co.

Since I know a fair share about Apple computers, hopefully that will give me an advantage.

Is it just me or am I having Deja Vu...I could have sworn I saw a thread on this yesterday about the same topic with about three times as many replies...;)

Really, why not?

They sign paperwork/contracts that state they are not allowed to post any websites about any apple products or on any websites wearing apple clothing...

I worked in the back so I had to sign new contracts every time a new product came out because I could see it in the computer before it was announced.

They take it very seriously and i could never keep in from laughing at them which made them mad at me, Ha

I enjoy leaks as much as the next person, but when you have proprietary information, it's just good sense to make an employee sign a contract. However, leaks still do occur and when that happens Apple has legal leverage. If you're posting on the community discussion about girl advice, I don't think it even matters.

I've met the managers of the Michigan ave Apple store.

They are friendly. I've been in the board room on the very top of the building. It's a pretty cool room, not gunna lie.

Ah, right. It makes total sense. I have been trying to apply for the inventory specialist position, but they never call me. It would be the perfect job for me a: because I'm very organized, and b: I have inventory experience working in a Target back room for 2 years. They don't want me though. :p

How did you like the job?

I loved my co-workers, I have been gone over a year and not a day goes by that I do not talk to at least one of them. We had a real good inventory crew.

It is a lot of stuff to remember but you catch on quick.

The only complaint I had was the managers. It hurts me when I am bossed around by an idiot. I understand that there will always be morons in charge and I have worked in retail before but this was worse then I ever dealt with. Maybe it was that I had just graduated college when I got there and had a chip on my shoulder.... ha

I find that a lot of people get fired for being late, 6 minutes is late to them. It is sad because when you are dealing with a mall sometimes it doesn't matter when you get there with parking and traffic, especially around Christmas.
