Hello All --

I have an iPhone 5 that I will need to do an out-of-warranty on. Can anyone tell me if that can only be done through phone service or if it is possible to have it done at an Apple Store (as far as turn in my iPhone, pay the fee and walk out with the new or refurb phone).

Thanks!

Thanks! Do the stores have refurbs or is it usually a new yet that we walk out with? In this case it will be a black 32GB Verizon iPhone. I can't imagine they keep refurbs of all models/carriers, or do they?

Thanks again!

Most likely a refurb, they generally have refurbs for all phone models. However, it's not impossible that it would be new. I've always had better luck with refurbs, so if I were you I'd hope for a refurb.
