Apple Store for Education Discount on Launch Day

Hi there. Historically, have new MacBook models been available with the discount on the Education store immediately at launch? Or are the new models added to the Education store later on?

I'm a current college student, and I am hoping to use the discounted webpage to order a new MacBook Pro as soon as orders are accepted next Thursday.

That I do not know, but you can walk into an Apple store with your college ID and get the discount.
