A) This has been discussed Here Before.

B) All Seattle Based TV news Stations did stories on the Apple Store Moving in, set to open up this fall.

C) It will kill the local merchants, so much so that many of them have already closed, and others are focusing on K-12 Education Only.

The Computer Store will be fine.

Apple needed a better presence on the Eastside because many from that Area don't want to drive to the U District(Univesity of Washington for non WA residents).

It's a necessary evil. I still feel like the Independants can compete with Apple Stores.

What local merchants? There are none, other than the Apple Store, in Seattle, and I did hear they might be closing, but that would hardly be a bad thing. There is no viable store in the area, so this will be the most wonderful of wonderful things.

I personally avoid Bellevue Square like the plague, I guess I will have to throw on my Abercrombie clothes, bump some Nelly and pimp the women as I go to buy my new Apple.

you must me be stoned. when a compusa worker in the apple section says, "dont buy so and so product" they are surely not competing with apple.

Well, there is The Computer Store on 45th. God, I always HATED that place. If you have never been there and are a masochist you should go in and feel the abuse of the staff there. They are the rudest, and most arrogant group of people around. You could literally stand around for 2 hours waiting for someone to help you. And when they do, they have this holyer-than-thou attitude. I lived in Seattle for a few years and that was the only real option for Mac stuff. I dreaded having to go in there. There is another Apple place by Greenlake but i think it's just a service place. Never went in. I used to avoid Bellvue altogether too, all those little rich white brats pretending to be thug life. What a joke. Anyway, it's good too see an Apple store set up camp in Microsoft territory.

There is Micro Computer Systems, used to be next to Alderwood Mall, now just off of 164th (One Exit North of I-5) they are the only Apple Authorized Dealer between Seattle and Bellingham. They have a great selection, but ob course the Sales Tax pays it's toll on sales, but hey, that Comrade Locke for you.
