Hello All,

I thought you guys would find this very interesting! I was driving home from work this evening (Monday, Sept 26th at 5:30pm PST) and when I drove by my local Apple Store in Walnut Creek, CA I saw this! Our local Apple Store in Walnut Creek has been open for years and was remodeled just last year. Looks like we are in for something really big next Tuesday, October 4th! Maybe we will not only get to see what the iPhone 5 is going to look like but even be able to walk into the store and actually buy one on day 1? Can't wait.

Cheers,
Nutes ;)

If you Apple Store is anything like the Toronto Eaton Centre store, they're forgoing a lot of revenue closing for a week. I doubt it's iPhone-related, though, otherwise I imagine other stores would also be closing... and there's nothing to indicate that in the news or on Apple's website.

More likely just some remodelling...

----------

Whoops... I stand corrected.

I wonder why they're "back" different dates, though...

Well if you're a conspiracy theorist you could say the store with the 4th represents the iPhone 4S which would be the appetizer for the store that represents the 5th. AKA iPhone 5 .

I've been in the retail business for many years. A minor remodel does not take 1 week. Major remodels can usually be completed in 2 weeks or less. Very unusual especially since this location was just remodeled.

Well one would think if it were iPhone 5 related all Apple stores would be doing this.
