I just checked the Australian Apple store. It is showing that happy yellow post it. Same with America.

What could they be updating?

Still down from what I can see. I hope those headphones don't come out today because I just bought another AppleTV and a Time Capsule. That would just be too much Apple stuff in one week!

Ahh I have never really noticed any Sunday maintenance before. I suppose I don't check on Sundays.

Apple wouldn't and won't discontinue the Mac Mini line they are only updating it most likely with the mini-display port and new processors. Mac Mini is the cheapest Apple computer to date, cutting it would drop sales and lovers.

So sorry but your so not right and that article CRAP. Don't believe it.
