Apple store is opening at 8AM

I just called my local Apple store 918-249-7800 (option 5) and they said they would be opening at 8AM to sell the iPhone 3G

that would be the whole reason they're opening up early.

I'll definitely be heading to an Apple store then, since they'll be opening at 8 am as well. I plan on calling or stopping by some time this week to see if they'll do the pre-credit check as well

I spoke with a sales rep. I was told they "believe" the store will open at the regular time Friday the 11th at 10AM.

Did you speak with someone or was it a recording?

I called and they told me "as far as I know 10 am", I called another store and they do not know what time.....

I just called the flag ship store in SF (which is the one closest to me) and they said as of right now they are still opening at 10am. She said however that is subject to change at anytime.

I wasn't able to get any more information then that.

I called the one in OKC ( i live in TUlsa) and they said 8 am as well

I think most of the Apple stores will have more solid information either tomorrow (Monday) or Tuesday (which is the rumored release of MobileMe and possibly the iTunes 7.7 update by the way; since AT&T stores need to "tether" their demo iPhone 3Gs and activate them by the evening of the 10th.)

Yes. Stores in New Zealand open at midnight, so that's at least a 24 hour lead for all parts of the US.

everyone needs to keep in mind that the Apple meeting was just earlier today, so it you're calling right now, they're not necessarily going to have the latest information yet. You need to give it a little time to trickle down the pipe to everyone so they actually know what's going on.

I seriously rather go to an Apple store than to an AT&T one. I hope this is true because I can go really early and wait in line since I don't have work until mid-afternoon that day

Good idea. I really am wondering if the white iPhone will come in a white box though.
