there seems to be a bunch of macbook pro refurbs on apple store. are they getting rid of "old stock"? worth buying? thanks!

If you're looking for a good deal and don't need the latest and greatest, Apple refurbs seem to be a good way to go. Most people report great condition and are more than satisfied, but it depends on what you're looking for in a computer and exactly which model you're thinking about buying.

refurb is the only way. i got my ibook two years ago from refurb. same computer that was being sold retail at the time. i paid $200 less for the same thing. you can save a lot of money by not getting the colored apple box and just getting a plain box with a apple on it :p
